Classes for Credit/Workshops: 

  • Art Works For Kids/ U of U Professional Development workshop series for visual arts by Sandy Brunvand, Assistant Professor of Art at University of Utah.  Participants must sign up on the USOE OnTrack system located at
  • The classes are held on Saturdays at the University of Utah, Department of Art & Art History.  The address of the class is 375 S 1530 E, Salt Lake City, Room #352.   Once again, these classes are FREE for everyone and includes supplies for each session, thanks to the Beverly Taylor Sorenson family and the University of Utah's Department of Art & Art History.  We will meet on 7 Saturdays for 2.5 hours each day If you attend 5 of the 7 sessions you will receive 1 credit hour from the USOE. There are only 20 seats in each section. There are 2 sections.   Morning session starts at 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.  Afternoon session begins at 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Teachers will be able to shift between the  morning and afternoon sessions  according to  their scheduling needs.    PLEASE NOTE*** We will cover many different art techniques including drawing, painterly drawing and experimentation, collage with language arts, color theory, art historical styles and much more.  Meetings will be held on the following Saturdays (sorry classes are not always held on the same Saturdays of each month due to  football games and conferences).

Arts Education Teacher Initiated Project ~ TIP: ($500 for teachers to gain skills and knowledge in an artistic discipline of their choice)
